Vanitas è un programma tv crime che andrà in onda in seconda serata.

Il termine vanitas deriva dalla frase biblica “vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas” (vanità delle vanità, tutto è vanità). Come il memento mori, questa parola è un ammonimento all’effimera condizione dell’esistenza umana. La vanitas, in ambito pittorico, ricorre nell’accezione di natura morta caratterizzata dalla presenza di oggetti o indicatori simbolici che alludono all’inesorabilità del trascorrere del tempo e alla precarietà dell’esistenza.

Grazie ai significati celati dietro il termine si vuole presentare il programma tv come un dipinto di vanitas seicentesco che pone al centro dell’attenzione non l’essere umano ma la sua caducità attraverso oggetti simbolici come il teschio, il lume senza fiamma, gli strumenti musicali silenziosi, il teschio, le bolle di sapone, la conchiglia e la flora appassita.

Vanitas is a crime tv program that will be broadcast in the late evening.

The term vanitas derives from the biblical phrase "vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas" (vanity of vanities, everything is vanity). Like the memento mori, this word is a warning to the ephemeral condition of human existence. Vanitas, in the pictorial context, recurs in the meaning of a still life characterized by the presence of symbolic objects or indicators that allude to the inexorability of the passage of time and to the precariousness of existence.

Thanks to the hidden meanings behind the term it is wanted to present the tv program as a painting of seventeenth-century vanitas that focuses not on the human being but on its caducity through symbolic objects such as the skull, the flameless lamp, the silent musical instruments , the skull, the soap bubbles, the shell and the withered flora.

Nella sigla si può osservare ciascun oggetto che compone la vanitas.

Per quanto riguarda i materiali è stata creata una texture, applicata a tutti gli oggetti presenti nella composizione, che vuole ricordare il marmo bianco delle statue. Alcuni dettagli sono composti invece da un materiale che ricorda il sangue umano, simbolo di violenza e/o morte. Questo materiale è stato scelto anche per la sua incredibile forza, che permette di spiccare sia nel buio della composizione sia quando illuminato da luce.

Notevole importanza è data alla luce. L’intenzione è quella di creare un ambiente cupo e sinistro, a tratti asettico, dove i vari oggetti vengono illuminati solamente in determinate zone, senza mostrarli interamente.

La camera è prevalentemente ferma, saranno gli oggetti a muoversi per formare lo still life visibile interamente alla conclusione della sigla con la successiva comparsa del titolo del programma tv.

In the title sequence, each object that composes the vanitas can be observed. As for the materials, a texture was created, applied to all the objects present in the composition, which wants to remember the white marble of the statues. Some details are composed instead of a material that recalls human blood, a symbol of violence and/or death. This material has also been chosen for its incredible strength, which allows it to stand out both in the dark of the composition and when illuminated by light.

Significant importance is given to light. The intention is to create a dark and sinister environment, sometimes aseptic, where the various objects are illuminated only in certain areas, without showing them entirely.

The camera is predominantly still, the objects will move to form the still life visible entirely at the conclusion of the initials with the subsequent appearance of the tv program title.
