This was my third year final project during my time studying Visual Communication in Liverpool John Moore's University. This piece was made from scratch including the book itself. It was based on a steampunk theme and each page shows a spell and imagery associated with the spell. The book was carefully made over a short period of time. The book locks using a clasp that was made out of an old necklace. The clock cover piece was hand cut and I used old clogs from a clock for the front cover as my dad is a clock maker.
Each page has been made in a particular way. I used a wide range of materials for this project which included the following:
