Le Chant du Styrène
Le Chant du Styrène is a short documentary about the production of plastic. It is directed by Alain Resnais in the sixties and the text in the film is a poem written by Raymond Queneau.
For this project I dissected that same poem over and over again in different ways. This concluded in different rhythms and visuals created by the various analyses, such as leaving words out, letters or punctuation marks. Those extracted elements function then as a new image.
At the back of the book there is an alphabetical list with all the used words, as well as an index with a page reference.
