Mind Boggler iOS app

Mind Boggler is an iOS app, intended to raise awareness of Philosophy at the University of Liverpool.

The app presents users with a jumbled-up philosophical quote, which when unscrambled unlocks further reading about the author, and interpretations of the quote written by staff from the University. New puzzles are pushed to the app on a weekly basis, and are completed against the clock.

As part of the University's in-house app team, I was responsible for the UX &UI design of the app, based on existing materials already in use by the Philosophy department (primarily the owl character). I also scoped and prototyped the app as part of the pre-production phase.

The app is available to download from iTunes, or by visiting the University of Liverpool App store at http://appstore.liv.ac.uk/mind-boggler/

Menu screen showing new puzzles, completed puzzles, and time spent/completion status of each one.
Puzzle screen - users are initially presented with a jumbled up quote with an incorrect word order, and must re-arrange the sentence (using drag & drop) to unlock further reading. The clock counts up, rather than down, to keep track of completion time 'personal bests'.
