Chef Dobozy - Aroma Pairing Menu
As the final project for his education at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in New York, Steve Dobozy needed a professional presentation for his menu choices. The solution for his Aroma-pairing menu was a bound booklet, highlighting the rich visuals of each dish. Using a pearled heavy smooth paper stock in combination with translucent textured stock, the idea of aroma pairing was made present in the design.
 
Using a simple coil bind allowed for the menu to lay absolutely flat, while the senior instructors perused the menu. It also adds a simple clean visual element, amongst the food images, and both pearl and translucent paper stocks.
 
The blue-pearled paper reflected a beautiful glow when angled in light, and added a fresh surprising visual element, similar to the olfactory aroma pairing experience.
