CORPORATE GAMES LOGO FOR SANLAM UNITED
 
The 2nd annual Corporate Games, South Africa took place at UCT this year. The event is the World’s largest multi-sport festivals for businesses and organisations of which there were 191 participants and 24 teams. Team Sanlam United was launched with the intention of capitalizing on some key corporate benefits include brand awareness and building team spirit.
 
We developed the team logo and accompanying promotional material for the sporting events that took place around Cape Town. The logo was inspired by sport in motion and depicts an action shot of a player kicking a ball. Symbolic of commitment, motion and sport and including blue and white corporate colours, the logo became a proud icon for the team. We developed the campaign further with the use of an athletic figure icon formed by a series of motivational words. The figure shows a victorious athlete alongside a swish suggesting a sporting journey from start to finish. We applied the campaign to corporate clothing, posters, directional banners, walking banners and Sanlam United team goodie bags.
 
Very excited Sanlammers gathered at the send-off ceremony in the atrium at the Sanlam head office where we produced a stage for the formalities. Sanlam United were a force to be reckoned with as they paraded with walking banners at the opening ceremony graced by dignitaries including Patricia de Lille and Helen Zille. Needless to say a successful event with Sanlam United winning most of the games which included tenpin bowling, action cricket, soccer and dragon boat racing.
