The Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro is a national reference in terms of modernist art and architecture. In this way, the re-design of its logo and its applications in ads and ecobags, sought to reflect its modern identity, without distancing itself from the original concept.
When comparing the original logo of the museum with the new proposal we can see that elements such as triangles remain present, but with a simpler and more minimalist approach, based on the modernist premise of simplifying form.

In the photo above we can see the columns present in the museum's architecture, both the original logo and the new visual identity proposal make reference to them. In addition the three triangles symbolize the museum's name, MAM.
The process of redesigning the museum's visual identity included the definition of a new typography that matched the museum's modernist character.
To exemplify  the new museum logo, the design of the museum tickets, cards, note pads, eco bags and posters for the exhibition of the museum exhibits were made. All these applications seek to maintain the simplification of the present form in the modernist movement.
