For this iteration of the performance I used the visual language of a musical score along with a few other visual elements including music stands and microphones to cue the viewers and participants in on certain information: a) that they should make noise, and b) that like a musical score, they should follow these documents as instructions.
The linear graphics are communicative and reminiscent of a diagram from a manual or technically written instructional book. The familiarity of these types of images allows the viewer to easily read, interpret, participate, and understand even when minimal text is present.
