Childhood Week is a 2 week event distributed in 2 separate weeks along the year: one for summer, one for Winter. The main goal is to remember and show to each other our childhood either with paintings, photographs, anything artistry and fun!

For me, Magic has always been hidden in every pond inside a forest, where the lily pods rest and the water is almost crystalline. As a child I would dream of swimming in them and finding the most amazing creatures. I would sit and stare for ages whenever I found one. They were and are my little paradise. Also I believe there, in my magic place, is where creatures such as Sïv and @mrdanidiez’s little character from his Labyrinth (the small blue one) were born 🌿✨🐸🕸🌱🌲 (so I dressed myself as #Sïv) haha -

My aunt and uncle lived by the mountains. I used to go visit them a lot. That’s where the ‘monster house’ was. They used to take me on Saturday mornings for a walk around it, but they never let me go in. ‘It is filled up with monsters, but we cannot see them while there’s daylight’ they said. So I would daydream and be tempted of going there alone and waiting until they came out to be seen.

When I was a child I was obsessed with the universe (just like now) and not having an answer to most things felt so powerless! It sometimes drove me to the idea of an owner of the planets. The one who carries them but we aren’t even able to see or notice. Maybe we’re just orbiting around the owner of the universe, heading towards each direction he/she decides to go. But then again, what would that direction be, and why? It’s a loop, forever and always 😩🚀🌕

#childhoodweek Day 4: TALES 🍃

- For the days @alicastroart and I would read for long hours our precious treasure story books from the Grimm Brothers and Perrault among so many others. We would hide behind the curtain that covered her bed -that was right under mine- and open these books as if they were a golden world to just swim into. -

For this specific one I was inspired by one of @juliasardaportabella ‘s beautiful book covers, along with my memories #simsalagrimm cartoons and obviously from #zelda. -

#childhoodweek Day 5: SHADOWS 🌑

Oh well this one was challenging! It might seem like a weird one but weird was the story behind it so it was a hard to illustrate! As a child, some nights when the lights switched off and the bedroom door closed, in the middle of the darkness I would start seeing this green and red circles and sparkles as soon as I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. And they wouldn’t go. The more scared I was the more they appeared. It was strange and it made it impossible for me to sleep. I called it: The Course.
Later on I learned the antidote for it: I’d go to the bathroom, turn on the lights for a bit, then close my eyes while the light was still on, then turn off the light and go to sleep. That left a huge imprint on my current “before going to sleep” routines.

#childhoodweek Day 6: GUARDIAN 🤖

- so! Most of you guys picked n.B color palette haha! I hope you like that I did A though. I wanted for this a riskier palette and a mix of colors that was intense and out of comfort. So it has hard because it was scary! But it came out ok in the end :) -
Story behind it is since I was a kid, being surrounded by rocks has always been one of the safest places I could be at. There’s so much comfort there for me and they protect me from everything. So when I was little I’d pick up leaves, sticks and stuffs and I’d pick a small place with lots of rocks to surround me and do some potions. It was one of my favorite things to do. My guardians. (Still happens!) -
