Je kan op mij rekenen. 'You can count on me'

During every school career it is immediately clear that juggling with numbers is not for everyone. Some people struggle with calculating and mathematics from day one, fall behind and meet not many of the learning objectives that are set up. 

In a society that is becoming more and more critical, the ‘why’ deserves an answer. 
      Consequently, through the years more attention has been given to the calculating disorder dyscalculia inside and outside schools. What this learning disorder encompasses, is still unclear for a lot of people. 
Through an awareness campaign I want to arouse people’s curiosity with the result of them wanting to
 know more about the subject. I will do this with the help of posters that look at the problem through 
the perspective of a person with dyscalculia. 

The posters stand out and focus on one baseline. The design is extended as a corporate identity 
to the promotional material: stickers, tote bags, leaflets and newspapers. 
      Furthermore, I also created trade fair material (flag, lighting boxes). The aim of this campaign is creating awareness for dyscalculia and showing people that it does not matter if you, your brother, your friend, … 
is struggling with this learning disorder. The campaign focuses on all ages and on different target groups. 
It focuses on dyscalculia as a challenge and not as a problem.
