Narnia – scenography and videomapping in a large-scale tent
In Poland at 2016 an international summer camp for disabled youth was organized by the Order of Malta. We (Zofia Karpowicz, Weronika Cyganik, Daria Palka, Daria Godyń and Zuzanna Surma) participated in this project as a volunteer.
Our project consisted of creating scenery of "Narnia" in a large-scale tent. The biggest challenge was to install the scenery in three hours - it was a surprise for the camp participants.
It took us a whole month to prepare for this evening. With the help of the wonderful people around us, we managed to: dig up about 30 trees from the forest nursery, construct streetlights from prototypes of old Krakow city lanterns, build a passage to Narnia from an old wardrobe and furs, and hang fabric with a starry sky on the ceiling.
It was a great, big project, for which we received the greatest reward – joy, and gratitude.
