This is a proof of concept for a larger short that started out as a motion tracking project to practice camera matching CG with live action video. The scene was tracked in SynthEyes, the tentacles were modeled in 3D Max, then painted in Mudbox, and then animated in Max. The whole thing was then composited in After Effects, including color correction, cropping, grain matching, and motion blurring.
