“We create the story, and at the same time, the story is what sets us in motion.”
                                                                                               -Haruki Murakami

A collection of Haruki Murakami's books. There is lot of movement involved in Murakami's stories so I re-designed the book covers in a way that when they open, the graphics start to move. I used Moire's motion to create an animated effect and execute my idea.
DANCE DANCE DANCE
A book about a nameless narrator, who experiences a journey as he revisits his past driven by forces from his subconscious and from, possibly, another dimension. Investigate his actions, passions, and decisions and is advised to just keep dancing (running with the flow) to find answers.

A WILD SHEEP CHASE
explores themes of separation and isolation, anti-authoritarianism, and animist spirituality through the surreal tale of a man trying to track a mysterious sheep.
The year is 1984 and the city is Tokyo.
A young woman named Aomame follows a taxi driver’s enigmatic suggestion and begins to notice puzzling discrepancies in the world around her. She has entered, she realizes, a parallel existence, which she calls 1Q84 “Q is for ‘question mark.’ A world that bears a question.” The new world has two moons.

KAFKA ON THE SHORE
Kafka on the Shore is powered by two remarkable characters: a teenage boy, Kafka Tamura, who runs away from home either to escape a gruesome oedipal prophecy or to search for his long-missing mother and sister; and an aging simpleton called Nakata, who never recovered from a wartime affliction and now is able to converse with cats.
