Week 7, 8, 9 | Dream Bedroom - Design Process

WEEK 7 | 8 | 9
Dream Bedroom - Autodesk® Revit™
TDJ Design | Designing Dream Bedroom
For WEEK 7 | 8 | 9, I have been designing my dream bedroom on Revit, but this time with a serious mentality, to achieve a good and polished product to showcase. This is one thing I understood about design, Design takes courage, but making your design perfect takes more than courage, it takes time, effort, and the will to improve your work to satisfy your expectations and even beat them. That sensation is what drives me! This project required to study our current bedroom and envision it and learn from it a new way to see things, a new way to improve them by designing my dream-room that was required to be 1000 sq ft.
Starting off using the design process, I sketched my current bedroom and identified features, dimensions and furniture. The other pictures in the grid above are the renders of my bedroom plan that I captured with Autodesk® 3Ds Max™, a high level rendering software. The reason I used this new rendering software was because I started to realize the visual potential a model can reach, a true render. I then proceeded in creating a timelapse animation focusing on the cat model on the bed for design purposes and make the render more dynamic and eye catching
Research :
Next step was to research a variety of square ft. bedrooms to learn the space, and get a sense of what is possible to fit in a 1000sqft bedroom. As an example for each square footage I included an inspiration picture. I came up with 3 sketching ideas, and picked the bottom one as my choice because of the reasons explained in the picture. I was ready to model this exact room on Revit™ and couldn't wait to see what I could make, and what skills I would learn from doing so.
DREAM-RENDERS:
These are the best renders from a top view that displays the entire room, the environment and minimalist details of furniture and space
