Video Projects: "By Your Side"

This was a video project that I did durning a class at Full Sail University that I decided to use to test new concepts and techniques.

The first version of the film uses hyper-vibrant colors to create a mystical and happy feel in attempts to pass that feeling on to the audience. I served as the On-Set Editor and Post-Production Editor on this.

In the next version of this short I attempted to isolate the red color in the film to create a stark contrast to the desaturated world around the characters. In hind sight, Adding another color or changing the color from red to something else would have worked better as the red highly foreshadows death. This was my first time trying to isolate color in DaVinci Resolve and served as a proof of concept for future attempts.
