On Facebook, a platform that has become inundated with advertising, users have become accustomed to scrolling straight past brand messages. To promote Black, a brand new entertainment platform, we needed a different approach. We created video ads that mimicked the boring timeline feed of the Facebook app, resulting in a full-screen vertical video of a fake interface which we destroyed when users were least expecting it. This caught their attention long enough to deliver our message: Get Black.
