As part of the launch campaign for Black, a new streaming entertainment service, we advertised it on a platform where people are quick to hover over the skip button: YouTube. Most brands shorten their ads, hoping to squeeze the pertinent information into the first 5 seconds. We did the opposite and created four, 10-minute-long Pre-Roll ads of the most boring content we could think of, using characters that personified the monotonous state of local entertainment.
