White Space (Graphic Novel)

White Space was my major project for the final year of my design degree. In this project, I was able to draw and design for six months, it was a dream come true. Each page was drawn and water coloured at an A3 size before being scanned and shrunk down to A5. This made every page a unique piece of art and made each panel special. It was a laborious process and I could have got a lot more of the book completed if I had chosen more simple process but I did not want to sacrifice the time and love put into each page. The first book is written and the graphic novel is published up to page 30. I would love to be able to continue the story at some point. I also made a soft toy Squox (square ox) who appears in the comic on the first page.
The story follows a deli girl named Truck, who bitterly hates her job. It is semi autobiographical in that every customer Truck encounters, is a customer I've had in that same job. The customers are usually rude and annoying, but sometimes they're cute, funny or even profound.
