Award: Finalist, Selangor State Logo & Slogan Competition
A series of state identity design and collateral that I have designed for "Selangor State Design Competition" which helped me to enter the final of this state competition and present my ideas in front of Selangor Mentor Besar.
Selangor is one of the most developed state in Malaysia. The centred "S" means "Selangor" and also graphically illustrates a magnet to draw its government and people closer. Meanwhile, the infinity symbol refers to the perpertual developement; the star and crescent represent Selangor official religion. When rotating the logo clockwise, it turns into number "eight", means "prosper" or "wealth", and also suggests an auspicious number in Malaysian society. Lastly, the color used is derived the state flag, red symbolizes bravery and yellow is royal color of Sultan (the ruler of state).
