This illustration was my entry for the residency program “Truth and Lies,” which took place in November 2017 as part of the 5th International Picture Book Festival in Müncheberg, Germany. In the illustration, I explored the solitude and vulnerability of those who step on the path of truth. It was a great honor to be picked by the jury as one of the two winners from Ukraine, and to spend a week in a picturesque rural area in Brandenburg with people who love illustration as much as I do.
