In this assignment we were briefed on creating a logo design and brand image for an upcoming brand . The brand Mad Lab was created to bring awareness to public schools in South Africa that does not have subjects covering the creative field such as design . With this campaign we had to create a logo design and brand image which will be appealing towards students .

We have been advised to design towards an afro-centric feel and a simple design as this is aimed at children . As this logo design is aimed for the use of badges on clothing items I wanted to work with a framed look and feel and use the traditional and complimentary colours such as blue and yellow . The design also contains geometric lines to mimic the patterns that can be seen in traditional South African huts
