During summer 2017, a Google internal memo about the company's diversity policies circulated in the media and blew up into a major story. The memo was dismissive of diversity programs and training to combat workplace sexism, and claimed that biological differences between men and women contribute to the gender imbalance in the tech industry. I used information gathered by the Pew Research Center to created these data visualizations, which I presented as part of a gender studies course. The data encompasses employees in all facets of STEM industries, with a focus on women in computer jobs.
