Concept Event Poster
The brief for this project was to choose a non for profit organisation & think up
an event which could raise funds. There was no restriction on your choice of
organisation, as long as the design mirrored the subject/purpose of what they
strive for.
Within the brief, we were asked to design one side as the ‘attention grabber’
more poster like style, with the other side being the information hub for the
actual details of the event.
The organisation I decided to choose was Royal Life Saving Australia, with
the concept event I constructed being called Beach Bums & boasts a nudie
ocean swim which would take place at nearby Bondi Beach with all proceeds
going towards the organisation & water safety as a whole.
The decision to take this cheeky approach was to create hype & an eye
catching visual that people could see & be curious to the details. The poster
uses it's folds strategically to its advantage revealing not only imagery but
also important information the further it folds out. With the imagery being
the incentive to fold out, I wanted the reader to be pleasantly surprised by
the quirky appeal of the event & be encouraged to read on & potentially
sign up as a bit of honest fun.
