Brand Opus Live Brief - Spent Grain Soap
Spent grain is a by product from the beer making process. Our task, set by Brand Opus, was to create something that this left over grain could be used for. After doing some research, I found that this grain could be made into soap. I did some research and found that the grain is an effective natural exfoliant and therefore actually makes for a good product for washing with.
Because of its link to beer I named my soap ‘Bar Maid’ this is a play on the idea of a bar of soap along with someone who serves beer. I kept my packaging simple, creating a beer head type pattern for the wrap of the soap and adding a sleeve that went around the product with the name and what the item is on it.
