The Future is Bright!
Mobility is the word nowadays, is the quality of being mobile, and this is where BMW C-Evolution comes in!
A week with the C Evolution is enough for me to see the future is bright. Yes it’s expensive, and the range at some points isn’t that great, but that’s the price of being an early adopter of new technology.
And, of course, there is the fuel saving that makes the asking price a bit more bearable.
Give it a few years for batteries to get smaller, lighter and ranges to go up, and electric bikes could be serious competition for petrol bikes.
The Bayerische Motoren Werke introduced its original C Evolution electric scooter, with 48hp, BMW says it can make up to 160km with one full battery.
Well for an electric scooter, it's a good range, and since this is meant for city used, well i think it's more than sufficient.
During this week i had to remind myself more than once that this is still considered just a scooter though it could certainly embarrass many a low- to mid-range ride. Not just other scooters either, but proper motorcycles.
After this week all i can say is, if electric bikes are the future and they all look as good as the C Evolution,
I’m definitely onboard.
