Dédalo Magazine is a publication created by a group of students from the Porto School of Architecture, FAUP, intervention and critical space, focused on the architectural places. Given the current issues that “discipline” raises, do not forget that this is not an isolated manifestation of other arts or social sciences. This publication was centered on displaced concepts from within the architecture field. It also explored the boundaries of a magazine and a book. The publications were organised into 2 books packed in a special box. The first publication explored the concept of “position”, the second “action”. We decided to print the two books in different colours. For “Position” we printed in black and white. “Action” was printed in 4 colours and bound with black string with a visible spine to explore the idea of visible structures. All the images we produced were intentionally distorted by a scanner to create new visuals from the exiting archive we pulled from, giving them movement and new meaning.
