This piece is from a series of works where observations of grain fields are the inspiration. My interest in the wheat field stems, visually, from the regulated repetition of form and the vastness and perspective. Experientially, it lies in the subtle movement and sound, in the whispering of the wheat.
In a process of disasembly and reassembly the wheat field is reconstructed, evoking the texture and pattern, as well as the subdued sound and motion.
