La Barranca - Lo Eterno

La Barranca
Lo Eterno

Photography project for the art of La Barranca's new album, "Lo Eterno". Made using a hardo-to-find collection of bugs property of entomologist Oscar Pérez. Using different techniques of macro photography.

La Barranca's greatest songs have always been their majestic epics steeped in melancholy, and Mexico's acknowledged masters of moody alt-rock deliver an entire album's worth on Lo Eterno. It's a sound that fuses snarling riffs plucked from the bleakest of blues-rock anthems, the glowering intensity of goth's pitch-black ballads, and eerie ambience borrowed from the gloomiest corners of electronic music. The haunting-to-crushing arc of highlights like "Cuervos" and "Anapsique" plunges listeners into decidedly unsettling emotional and musical terrain, though La Barranca also find surprising beauty in that darkness.
