Brief
Innovations in mainstream publishing coincide with an upsurge in the production of book art, book works and artists’ books, many of which are either unique or available only in limited editions.
To design an artists book, choose an artist/architect/writer (Avoid choosing a Graphic Designer) and create a graphic treatment for the book showing both a visual and intellectual interpretation of the subject matter.

Concept
This artist book is based on a matchbox design inspired by a Finnish artist and master bookbinder, Kaija Rantakari. She makes beautiful books and intimate poignant works with matchboxes in an open ended series called "Letters to You". She come from a long family line of crafty people and she always been encouraged to make hings by hand.
Each of the matches represent a short quote from the artist itself. In order to read the information, there is a tiny little personal magnifying glass which can be found in the matchbox itself. The imagery can be found on the tip of the matches. There is another letterbox which include some mini aeroplane with her stories and background.
