Frida is a decorative font that includes all caps characters and numbers. The typeface itself is inspired on Latin American culture, it’s colours, tropical weather and vegetation. The illustration in the letters and numbers include flowers and leaves and other details that make the font look tropical and overgrown. It was decided to keep this typeface as a serif to maintain a classic appearance like in Gabriel Garcia Marquez novels.
The font was named after the mexican artist Frida Kahlo for her floral style and the natural elements that she showed in her work.
