512stew- 18 Perspectives on Austin’s Culture, is a visual zine published by the Design Class of 2015. The 300-page book is the construction of a narrative through each students’ explorations of Austin’s cultures displayed through photography, hand illustrations, and text. Each student was responsible for communicating a specific relationship to Austin through each chapter, and a dust jacket that doubles as a dual sided poster. The class ran a fundraiser campaign through IndieGoGo to raise $5,000 to print the books, limited edition dust jackets, bookmarks, and a launch party to celebrate the release.

512stew was awarded the title of Visual Communication Student Runner Up for Core77’s Design Awards 2014, where I served as Social Media Manager.
I managed 512stew's Facebook group, Instagram, and Tumblr pages. The project was also featured in the University's newspaper, The Daily Texan.
