About The Project
Focaland is the best app to help you break your phone addiction. This app can help you playfully stay focused. By growing your own creature on the timer. This app provides fun and stressfree way to change your phone-habits. And even encourage you to go exercise. The less time you spend on your phone, the higher the level you are.
The idea of the app is help people to stay away from their phone while they need to spend time to focus on something important for them. People can grow up their creatures by just staying away from their phone in the limited amount of time. By playing the game, people can change their behavior and form a new habit in a more comfortable and interesting way. The app also include the records that people can easily to track thier phone habit everyday.
How to play?
- Set the timer for your focus study and the category you are working on.
- Once the timer starts, the user is not allow to leave game page to use other apps. Just focus on your work until the timer finishes.
- If you complete the level, you will get the rewards to grow your creature’s island.
- If you fail, you won’t get any rewards. Also, it will lower the creature’s life percentage, once it get zero, the creature will die.
- You can get the extra rewards like coupons for local shops if you do the exercises.
- Track you phone habits records in the history page to check you improvement!
Colors
This is the sketches of my creatures. The main feature of them is that each creature represents different natural element, such as, flower, water, rain, and cloud, etc. Their growing depends on how long the user use thier phone. Moreover, each creature can evolve in three levels maxium. The bottom part are the digital version of the creatures.
Typography
Here are some of typfaces that I think might suitable for my game. I used them on the first interface of my game to see the feelings and how it looks like. Finally, I decided to use the last one. The typeface named “ Babycakes” as the title of my app. The round shape of typeface gives people cute and friendly feeling which are loos more harmonious with the cover image.
