The cherry blossom, or sakura, is a recognisable symbol of Japan. As a springtime attraction, it is common for people to watch as the flowers delicately fall off branches and shatter on pavement and water. 'Saku' is to bloom, combined with the twist fold highlights the flowers' transitions from branch to the ground.
