臺灣沿海地名故事卡片設計 Story Cards Design of Taiwan Coastal Districts

｜創作理念｜

地貌豐富、文化多元，影響了臺灣地名的演變，而這些地名故事也維繫了人與土地的情感。為了引起大眾對於土地的認同，我們針對台灣沿海地區設計地名故事卡片。依照地名演變的因素，包括發音、地理方位、開墾、政權轉移、產業、字義、環境分成7類：作品總計107件。以上七類卡片選用不同插畫風格及文字編排呈現，並於卡片內頁設計可互動的書中書，讓平面圖樣變得更加生動與故事性。

紙材的選用、手工車縫的裝訂都是經過仔細的思考所設計的，我們期待這一系列作品能向臺灣大眾傳遞土地的溫暖，串聯起每個人珍惜自身文化、環境的共鳴。

｜Our Ideas｜

Diversified landforms and cultures are what have caused the evolution of toponyms (names of places) in Taiwan. These toponyms also make people and the lands connected. In order to give rise to the public acknowledgement for the lands, we have designed story cards of topnyms for the coastal regions in Taiwan. The factors for the toponym evolution can be divided into seven categories: pronunciation, geographical location, distinctive constructions, regime change, special products, etymology, and geographical environment, with 107 works in total. Cards under the 7 categories are displayed by different illustrating style and word composing, and “a card in a card” are designed as well, which can make the graphics vivid and interactive. The paper material and hand-made stitches binding are all made by thorough consideration. We expected these works can deliver the warmth of the lands to the public in Taiwan and connect their own culture and environment cherished by them with their inner resonance.
