Canadians at Cornell Website

Canadians at Cornell Home Page. Features a Facebook plugin, random images shown from the photo gallery, and a list of the latest blog posts.
In Spring 2012, I designed a site for the Canadians at Cornell Club, along with Michelle Phillips, Victoria Burke, and Chris Cassano for web design and programming course project.  The site utilizes PHP, HTML, CSS, jQuery and JavaScript, and a MySQL backend.
The background of the website is a grayscale Canadian flag!
The layout of the site evokes the Canadian flag, with red on the left and right, and a white (or light colored) center. There's even a maple leaf in the center, in the background! This also helps the main content in the middle of the page stand out.
Photo gallery image.  The photo gallery utilizes a MySQL backend. Users can browse through images, view them in albums, and download the originals.
Website forms and login prompts use an overlay created in JavaScript.
Words like "Centre" are spelled in the Canadian English style! If an administrator logs in on this page of links and resources, a drag and drop interface allows him or her to rearrange the order of the links.
Using the Facebook API, the website can pull the profile photo of a user's Facebook account if they have one when their unique Facebook url is entered.
