Concept
The basic idea in the design of the mosque depends on the attempt of the carburetor between the originality embodied in Islamic architecture and the modernity embodied in DUBAI CREEK HARBOUR by trying to derive the basic ideas of some elements and methods and techniques of construction in Islamic architecture and put it in a more modern form commensurate with the age in general and nature General of DUBAI CREEK HARBOUR, and without prejudice to the basic principles in the design of the mosque in the Islamic architecture, while preserving the general character.
we took care in our design the entrance must be in the axis of Dubai Creek Tower, In addition the prayer hall is located on the axis of the Qibla and the large direction towards it, which contributed to creating a space between the entrance and prayer hall which was used as a plaza area in addition to the possibility of making use of it from the environmental point of view as an internal courtyard, and it contributes to increase the movement of ventilation inside the building, and we have been created a difference in the height between the blocks in an attempt to create shadows with a difference in pressure contributes to increase the speed of air inside the building, and environmental treatments rely on a small indoor yard covered to attract air from the biggest courtyard This has resulted in a natural ventilation movement and helps create spaces that provide thermal comfort.
We have also derived from the Islamic architecture the idea of Mashrabiya in providing natural light without direct sunlight through aluminum panels with regular openings derived from Islamic forms. From the minaret of Malawiya, we took the idea of enclosing the building with a ribbon containing the various Quran verses. In addition, the entrance is derived from the entrances of mosques in Islamic architecture in India and more modernly through the use of different materials.
