IranAir (HOMA)
More Than Just a Logo!
On the surface, Project HOMA is about updating a logo that had been kept untouched for more than 60 years.
But deep down, it is seeking to bring back Life and Honour to one of the oldest airlines in the world that is now going through dark times due to the evil regime of Islamic Republic. Therefore the new face of HOMA, with its significant frown, has risen once again from its own ashes to become glorious.
INSPIRATION
The History Behind IranAir's Iconic Logo
The origins of the Logo can be found in the ancient city of Persepolis, amongst impressive pillars & rectangular Arches dating back to 518 B.C., lays the statue of the Persian Mythical Creature. It has three distinct features: an Eagle's Head, Cow's Ears & a Horse's Mane. It is said to be something like a Phoenix, consuming itself in the fire every few hundred years only to rise from the ashes.
COLORS
Driven From the National Gemstones of Iran
To strengthen the roots and the heritage of this piece, the Color Palette is obtained from the Persian Feroza, which is Iran's national gemstone. It is a semi transparent opaque stone, ranges in color from whitish blue to deep dark blue. Feroza is the oldest stone known to human jewelry, worn by the pharaohs, kings, queens & warriors. Throughout history, its colors have been spreading joy and calmness in the life of its wearer.
UX/UI
Designing the App, and Not the Website
Today the number of mobile users is much greater than the number of desktop users. Consequently, businesses have noticed the need to use mobile channels for attracting customers. So this brings up the argument that Apps will replace websites and businesses will revolve around them altogether. So here is the Mobile App Prototype of Homa Airline with a beautiful interface that makes everything understandable at first glance.

HOLOGRAM
The First-Ever 3D Hologram Logo
Augmented reality (AR) & Virtual reality (VR) are going to be the next big things that will eventually take over the role of phones, laptops or any other screen-based device that exists nowadays. Therefore 3D Logos would be a small part of a much bigger movement that can open new doors for Designers to unleash their creativity. The 3D statue of Homa expresses its character in such a pure form that is also suitable for future's new possibilities.
