Folklore is a project in which I have designed a collection for mother and child, taking inspiration from a traditional Amat-parka from western Greenland.
Amat means mother in Geenland, and the parka is meant for both mother and child. The child sits in the hood of the parka, thus keeping warm and protected from the harsh environment and tying a strong bond with its mother.
I have used this concept to create an updated, modern take on a collection that will meet the needs of both mother and child. Instead of the shoulders, I have focused mainly on the hips, creating an oversized bellow pocket for carrying your child - or other things.
