Design Criteria.

Objective
An Australian-born airline, Bonza Air, aims to commute the young and independent travellers within the Asia Pacific Region. The word ‘Bonza’ is derived from an Australian slang which means Excellent, Attractive, and Pleasing. Bonza Air aspires to be a low-cost carrier airline that encourages young travellers to explore the
world at an affordable price. The company’s mission looks beyond commuting passengers as they target to
open opportunities for pilot-cross learning and experiencing the different language and cultures with the Asia
Pacific Region.

Concept
A boomerang, an iconic traditional tool used by the Australian Aborigines, is used to serve as a visual metaphor of a “safe return” for the passengers. The colours are inspired by Australia’s national colours. The colour “Yellowish Gold” could be seen on an Australian athletic outfit such as the National sports team. This colour
has represent the Australian spirit on an International platform in participation of world events such as FIFA World Cup, Rio Paralympics et cetera.

Communication
By bridging the word 'Bonza' and the boomerang icon, it creates an identity by using the alphabet “b” and replacing the bowl of the typography from the typeface to a boomerang-like figure.
