Original artwork for Joachim Trier's THELMA.

A thriller about a reserved young woman, who after experiencing unusual seizures and a blossoming
friendship with a fellow student, discovers there may be more under the surface of her quiet existence.

Conveying the calm and chaotic contrasts of Thelma, the key image is split in two main areas.
The reserved side of Thelma unobstructed on the left and the violent glass shatter (nods to a key sequence)
with her friend Anja's face reflected in one of the shards on the right hand side.

Two references to animals are also incorporated, the central shards of glass form the
shape of a bird (Anjas face is in one of the wings) and a hidden snake forms the iris in Thelma's right eye.
