Blonde & Brunette is a portrait series of female bodybuilders or fitness athletes as they refer to theirselves. In this series I tried to capture the contradictive "body language" of their sheer tiredness after a strenuous show pumping muscles.

 

Initially the intention was to capture both female and male bodybuilders. Except the "tiredness factor" in the "body language" of male bodybuilders was less obvious. This was due to their inability to drop their muscular shoulders as a sign of tiredness. I decided to not include those portraits and neither of other women as there are sufficient contradictive features between the blonde and the brunette.
