Eufaula Garrett's profile

Paramount Pictures Turns a Profit

As the Talent & Brand Manager for the Benjamin Company, Eufaula Garrett manages film and television opportunities on behalf of her client, hip-hop artist and actor André 3000. Eufaula Garrett successfully navigated negotiations with production company Paramount Pictures, leading to a three-year television and movie development deal.

After a shake-up of top management at Paramount Pictures, the 105-year old production company is turning a profit. The production company’s financial success has been attributed in part to the blockbuster performance of A Quiet Place. The $20 million film grossed over $200 million worldwide in its first three weeks at the box office. Paramount also has profited from licensing its popular television productions.

News of Paramount’s profitable quarter also boosted the financial picture for its parent company Viacom, Inc. Viacom is in negotiations with the CBS Corporation, one of the largest media companies in the United States. Media executive Shari Redstone is directing the merger. She holds the vast majority of shares in both CBS and Viacom through her family’s media-holding company National Amusements, Inc.
