'Perhaps we,' is the first play of artwork and graphic design produced by the Crew name called 'Pursue(좇아가다)'. Living in a desolate and suffacating society, this play show us how young generation pursue the true meaning of living well by overcoming their adversity. Crew 'Pursue(좇아가다)' created this play as original. Since the crew values the original creation, they've managed from initial planning step to visual identity and developed their thought as much as possible. During the meeting, there were many parts that has been edited to deliver our mesage clearly. This trial and error enabled us to possess the constructive base of design. I created this new interpretaion of design by refering initial script and the real performance.
The 'Whistleman' who is regarded as devine being blow the whistle during the scene, and this sounds make the young people to gather and sing and dance in a round. This is the moment of the young people looking back upon the past, at the same time, actors and audience can breathe and cut a little slack. The 'design of comma' is the motive from the side look of whistle. Moreover, We use morse code as motive since we are telling a story that is not easy to talk but urgent. Each of three posters have morse code of 'Nevertheless', 'Where you at', 'the agony of living well'.
However, I did not use the morse code for comma and period sign since I wanted to deliver the intuitive shape. Each of black, yellow, grey show the angony of reality, time of worry, and period of transition. This is not answer about the agony, but I interpreted agony as the answer.
