Promotional Mailer

I've been extremely interested in true crime for as long as I can remember, so when tasked with a class assignment to create promotional mailer "looping" card, I knew I would have to make an advertisement for my favorite true crime podcast, My Favorite Murder.

We were given the constraint of making a “looping card” as a promotional mailer, but it was up to us to decide what exactly we would be promoting. The card can be folded infinitely through its four configurations, making it an extremely innovative concept for a promotional mailer. The only other restriction was that I had to incorporate the number 15 somehow.

I decided to design a promotional mailer for the podcast, My Favorite Murder. I heavily drew upon the show’s dark themes when designing my mailer. I distorted mugshots of famous serial killers, and decided to use a typewriter style font to really sell the theme.

The color scheme I decided on goes with the darkness of the show, while keeping the retro vibe that I decided to go with.
