Imagine if the textiles you wear and use around your home could produce solar energy and power your electric appliances...
This project began by experimenting with re-structuring a printed solar panel... A technology that is on the brink of being on the market and is already a flexible material. (imagine sheet of acetate) However I wanted to take this further by trying to make the solar material even more flexible like that of a fabric, in order to enlarge its potential applications in the future.

I designed many patterns, respecting the technical limitations, and then cut them out on a laser cutter to test the different structures and the kind of suppleness this added to the material, whilst maintaining the capability of producing solar energy.
