Alpha Type es un ejercicio de experimentación, el cual tiene como objetivo desarrollar una fuente tipográfica propia a partir de un tema específico, como por ejemplo objetos, lugares, películas, estilos o sentimientos. Estos temas influyen como fuente de inspiración en la creación de la fuente, tomando elementos como el color, la forma, el significado, o el material.
Alpha Type is an experimentation exercise which aims to develop your own typographical font from a specific topic, such as objects, places, movies, styles or feelings. These fonts take elements such as color, shape, meaning, or material, as a source of inspiration.
Esta fuente tipográfica está desarrollada a partir del tema de la cobardía, específicamente por mi profundo miedo por las arañas y las casas embrujadas. A primera vista, una casa embrujada puede parecer simplemente abandonada y sin vida, sin embargo, realmente es un lugar donde habita lo desconocido, los fantasmas, las arañas y muchas otras criaturas desagradables. Aún así, lo que realmente me impide entrar a esos lugares son las telarañas siniestras y entrelazadas que capturan la suciedad, entre otras cosas vivas, decorando así el espacio con una sensación de horror y peligro. Solo una persona, que se ha enredado con esas redes invisibles sabe que no es una experiencia que quiere que vuelva a suceder. Por lo tanto, la fuente busca representar esta experiencia a través del material invisible entrelazado e irregular, asimilándose a las telarañas.
This typographic font was created initially from the theme of cowardice, specifically from my deep fear of spiders and haunted houses. At first sight, a haunted house may seem abandoned and lifeless, however, what truly lies behind is the unknown, ghosts, spiders and many other unpleasant creatures. Even then, what truly keeps me from entering those places is the sinister and intertwined cobwebs that capture the dirtiness, among other living things, thus decorating the space with a sense of horror and danger. Only the person who has had the unfortunate privilege to be entangled in these invisible vines knows that it is not an experience they would want to repeat. Therefore, this font seeks to represent this experience through the invisible interlaced and irregular material, which assimilates to those of cobwebs.
