Complex Adaptive Systems
This poster design was entered in the Future Forward College's local Future's Fair. The call was for posters illustrating one of the FFC Key Ideas for education models. I chose Key Idea Number 2: Complex Adaptive Systems.
This image was achieved using image trace in Illustrator, then opting for Photographic Trace and Outlines. The outlines represent the mathematical computations Illustrator makes to come up with the traced image.
The original image is of The Mandelbrot Set, which is an infinite and continuous manifestation of a simple calculation like f(c) = c^2 +m. The resulting pattern is a magical image that is infinitely repeated as you zoom in.
UPDATE: this poster was chosen to be among those displayed at the festival, which happened 9/23/16 on Wake Tech's main campus.

Southeastern Permaculture Gathering
This organization has held the annual gathering of permaculture enthusiasts for 27 year. I joined a few years ago and offered my services as web and brand designer to help promote the gathering. All iconography on the site and collateral are originals that I designed with the goals of the organization in mind.
