Indian Man
-
Digital Painting, Portrait
This was simply a personal piece to develop my digital painting skills. I've always loved and admired the execution of realism in art which I have been doing since I was a child, so as I moved into the digital painting realm it was important to do some self-initiated projects that was an extension of my penchant for realism.
I just went onto google and searched "foreign portraits", and a striking portrait of an elder, Indian man stopped me in my tracks. His face and eyes held immense wisdom and emotion and I knew this was the reference I wanted to use. Elders have also been more fun to draw because every wrinkle, spot, and mark add to opportunity to create a noteworthy piece. Enjoy!

Texture, detail and emotion were the driving factors for the impact I wanted to create for this piece.
I was excited to print this up because of its incredibly high resolution, so I knew it would look great.
