Poetry woven around pictures and brands
Being a writer and a poetry enthusiast, Karishma has recently been weaving her take on certain brands and products in the form of short poems and pictures. Here are a few.
Served hot with spices galore,
You had me at the very first bite,
Mesmerised by the perfect blend of cheese,
And your mac better than my apple.

-Written for ALT Pizza, Singapore's Mac 'n' Cheese Pasta.
My heart had been broken,
into much bigger pieces than the ones,
that appear when I bite through you,
But somehow in your thick layers,
Lies an answer to my broken dears,
Keep the softness full of sweet love within,
And show the world an aiota of what makes you,
You,
Make yourself perky,
As you unleash deeper into your own journey,
Bite by bite,
Discovering how each crack has led to your core,
And becoming a Magnum opus in between the ordinary.

-Written for Magnum Icecreams.
There is no alternate to saving yourself from the mistakes,
The more you try,
The more you get drawn to them,
You have to get it all wrong,
Before you know what's right for you,
And just like that I found my feet,
Fall in love with my Skechers.

-Written for a pair of Skechers from Singapore.
From my first interview,
When the ordinary student in me,
Pined for extraordinary dreams,
Striving and hustling,
Or those puppy jitters on a first date,
With my latter in my hand,
Feeling as if the world was mine in all glory,
Crossing legs as if in sheer poise,
Trying to put in action every etiquette,
To now as I sit for a business deal,
Or to interview another once upon a time, me,
As every buck makes me believe in being a star,
A date with Starbucks always raises the bar.

-Written for Starbucks Coffee.

Walking through that passage,
Every time I am on my way to board my constant fantasy,
Right from a tiny tot,
Only then having a love-hate affair,
And today, those li'l feet paired with momma's and dada's,
Tread alone,
But something stays the same,
The question that makes me tread,
A quest to discover what is success,
Whilst discovering smaller versions of it,
Like success within success,
Measure? May be by what each step beckons,
As it calls for courage to dream infinitely,
And what lasts through these dreams,
At every destination,
is iconically HSBC, indeed uniting every part of the world,
With questions that matter.

-Written for HSBC's posters placed at airports across the world.
