Collaborative Exhibition

As part of my Erasmus semester studying in PXL Hasselt, I co-curated a collaborative exhibition featuring the work of twelve international Erasmus students. The shared concept being: to visually represent the inner battle between remaining present in the moment and coping in fast-paced situations where we often tend to think too much about future responsibilities, or situations of the past. Creating balance in the hecticness of travelling, finding time, and making a conscious effort to be present in that moment; being aware of our mind, breath, thoughts and our actions.

The exhibition included works of painting, sculpture, jewellery design, illustration, photography, and video installation.

Poster and leaflet I designed for the event promotion. The visuals were inspired by mindful, transcendal moments in between the noise and movement of travel. The promotional posters were pasted around the art school and used digitally for social media event pages.
My individual piece - digital collage and photography printed on acetate - evolved through a series of experimental zines. My concept: Visually expressing the infinite, euphoric, ethereal realities of self-healing and meditation techniques. Through powerful meditative practices I have unlocked pieces of inner existences and discovered peace during times of hecticness and overwhelming life situations. My layered works of art, and digital collage zines, visually translate the unearthing of my meditation practice - breaking through the unconsciousness of the mind.
Healing Through Meditation - page by page hand stitched zine.
